Kelly Hancock, Texas State Senator for the 9th district, shared updates on his social media accounts regarding support from agricultural organizations, legislative actions on women’s sports, and engagement with young political groups.
On January 12, 2026, Hancock posted: “I’m honored to have the support of @TexasFarmBureau, the Voice of Texas Agriculture. Texas was built by farmers and ranchers – foreign land ownership and burdensome regulations threaten that legacy. I’ll keep fighting to keep agriculture strong, independent, and Texas-owned!”
The following day, January 13, 2026, he highlighted his role in recent state legislation: “I was proud to coauthor the Save Women’s Sports Act in Texas. This case has HUGE ramifications for that law and others around the country. Thank you for fighting, @jonathansaenzTX @txvalues!”
Later on January 13, Hancock discussed a meeting with local youth political organizations: “Great to visit with the @BellCountyYRs and @WilCoYRs last week. Their energy, ideas, and commitment are exactly why the future of Texas leadership is strong! #txlege”
Hancock has served as a Republican member of the Texas State Senate since 2013 after succeeding Chris Harris as representative for the state’s 9th Senate district.
