Kelly Hancock, a Texas State Senator representing the 9th Senate district since 2013, recently shared updates on public safety and energy policy through a series of posts on his official social media account.

On February 9, 2026, Hancock emphasized his commitment to community safety and bail reform. He stated, “Keeping our communities safe must always come first — that’s why I’ve supported stronger bail reform to keep violent offenders off the streets. I’m grateful for the support of the Professional Bondsmen of Texas, who help hold violent criminals accountable and defend Texas.”

The following day, Hancock discussed Texas’s energy sector after meeting with Valor Minerals in Fort Worth. In his post dated February 10, 2026, he wrote, “Good conversation with @ValorMinerals in Fort Worth tonight. Texas is expanding generation, planning ahead, and keeping the grid stable. Smart, predictable energy policy is why Texas is ready for growth — and why the future of American energy runs through our state.”

Later that same day, Hancock expressed appreciation for an endorsement from a law enforcement organization. He posted on February 10, 2026: “Thank you @ATXPOA for your endorsement! Public safety is the foundation of a strong Texas. I’m grateful for their support of my campaign to keep Texas the best place to start a business and raise a family.”

Hancock has served as a Republican member of the Texas State Senate since 2013 after succeeding Chris Harris in representing District 9.
