Fort Worth ISD Superintendent Kent Scribner and Tarrant County College Chancellor Eugene Giovannini have agreed to merge their respective advisory boards.
The advisory boards are the groups of industry professionals who provide valuable connections between educators and industry in preparing students to enter the workforce. The merger was intended to increase collaboration between educators and industry in the creation of programs for students, while also representing forward progress for career and technical education as Fort Worth in a post-COVID 19 environment.
The announcement came during a Zoom event titled “Fort Worth: Where the Best Begins.”
The summit was part of a partnership between Fort Worth ISD, Tarrant County College and the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, with the goal of better understanding how education and industry can collaborate to meet workforce needs, both during the present and the future.
