Christ Chapel Bible Church is hosting an Operation Christmas Child drive-thru event on Saturday Nov. 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to kick off the holiday season, according to its website.
Participants can now pick up boxes to fill for the project and the boxes are due back by Nov. 22.
Operation Christmas Child is a program through Samaritan’s Purse that sends shoeboxes filled with small toys, hygiene items and school supplies to children in need worldwide. The boxes also include information about Jesus, the website states.
The church is kicking off the project earlier than usual this year.
The church is at 3701 Birchman Ave., Fort Worth.
