TCU finished the first day of the Huntington Bank Collegiate in eighth place on Apr. 6, after playing 36 holes at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas. The Horned Frogs ended five strokes over par with a total score of 581 on a course that previously hosted the AT&T Byron Nelson on the PGA Tour from 2018 to 2021.

The tournament features a field of 17 teams, including ten nationally ranked programs. TCU moved up six spots on the leaderboard during play and briefly shared sixth place after a strong second round performance. UCLA leads the event at seventeen under par, followed closely by Oklahoma State.

Individually, Kirstin Angosta led TCU with a two-under-par score of 142 across both rounds, tying for fourteenth place overall and maintaining her streak of even or under-par finishes for three consecutive rounds. Camille Min-Gaultier also performed well, finishing one-over and tied for thirty-third after returning from another competition less than twenty-four hours before teeing off.

Sofie Dimitrova is tied for fortieth with consistent scores in both rounds and stands out as one of the top performers in par-5 scoring among all players. Gracie McGovern contributed eight birdies and sits tied for fifty-first.

For Tuesday’s final round, TCU will be paired with Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Arizona starting at 8:30 a.m., remaining within reach of fifth place.
