George Clarke Elementary issued the following announcement on July 29.
Fort Worth families can receive free preparation tools for the 2020-2021 academic year at six Road to Readiness Drive-Up Carnival events across the city, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, August 1.
These exciting events will offer families information technology support, free community resources, food and fun giveaways and school readiness bags for pre-kindergarten to third grade aged children. The Road to Readiness Drive-Up Carnival events are hosted by the Best Place for Kids initiative and Read Fort Worth.
Road to Readiness Drive-Up Carnival events are taking place at the following locations:
- ACH Child and Family Services, 3712 Wichita St.
- Bob Bolen Public Safety Center, 505 W. Felix St.
- Billy Bob’s, 2520 Rodeo Plaza
- Central Bible Church, 8001 Anderson Blvd.
- Como Community Center, 4660 Horne St.
- Hazel Harvey Peace Center, 818 Missouri Ave.
