36 percent of applicants to Texas Wesleyan University were admitted for fall 2018

At Texas Wesleyan University, 76 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 52 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Fort Worth enrolled 2,236 students in fall 2018, including 1,456 in undergraduate and 780 in graduate programs, data shows. 15 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

84 percent of undergraduates are residents of Texas, and 8 percent are residents of other states. 8 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (33 percent) and white (29 percent).

The school admitted 36 percent of the 4,096 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 20 percent enrolled.
