Tickets are $25 and available at the box office from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 3. Call 254-968-9634.

Expect a grand evening with more than 150 musical performers, among them featured student soloists Caitlin Hoffman, Jade Rudolph, Kylee Russell, Peyton Stevens and Regina Wright.

The Fort Worth Symphony will join the Tarleton Choral Program and Cross Timbers Civic Chorale in a presentation of John Rutter’s “Gloria.” Tarleton Director of Choirs Dr. Troy Robertson will conduct.

He will be joined by Tarleton voice faculty Dr. Heather Hawk, soprano, and Dr. Iwao Asakura, baritone, who will perform two of the greatest melodies of all time, “O Holy Night” and the Bach-Gounod setting of “Ave Maria.”

Dr. J. Bradley Baker, pianist, will perform selections including Elgar’s charming “Christmas Greeting.”

Tarleton alumnus Zachary Steele will be highlighted as the choirs perform his setting of “O Come, O Come Emmanuel” entitled “Veni, Emmanuel!” Steele is the 2022 winner of the Texas Choral Directors Association’s Emily Crocker Emerging Composer Award.

Other pieces will include excerpts from Benjamin Britten’s “A Ceremony of Carols,” R.V. Williams’ “A Festival on Christmas Carols” and “Hallelujah” from Handel’s Messiah.

A founding member of The Texas A&M University System, Tarleton transforms generations by inspiring discovery, leadership and inclusion through teaching and research. Degree programs for almost 15,000 students in Stephenville, Fort Worth, Waco, Midlothian, A&M-RELLIS, and online emphasize real-world learning that addresses regional needs while sustaining the values of excellence, integrity and respect.
