TCU Celebrates 150th with Limited Retro Logo

The Flying T is taking off again. First created in 1977 by Marshall K. Harris ’79, a football student-athlete, the retired Flying T mark has returned to retail only for a limited time as TCU prepares to celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2023.

“I'm extremely honored and excited that the Flying T mark is being revisited after all of these years,” Harris said.

Harris, an artist, was the subject of a TCU Magazine feature in 2013.

“For quite some time, we have heard how special that mark is to so many people,” Jeremiah Donati, TCU director of intercollegiate athletics, said. “In honor of TCU's Sesquicentennial celebration, the timing could not be better for this limited release of Flying T merchandise through our 150th anniversary.”

Merchandise is available for a limited time at the TCU Campus Store, with new items dropping right in time for the holidays. Read more about the launch and watch the video from TCU Athletics.
