Ft Worth Times

There were 72,783 students enrolled in Fort Worth ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 2.8% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.7% of them were boys, and 49.3% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were Hispanic, representing 65% of the Fort Worth ISD total enrollment.

Fort Worth ISD roughly covers schools within Tarrant County with its main office in Fort Worth.

Among the 138 schools in Fort Worth ISD, Paschal High School recorded the highest enrollment of 2,141 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
